TITLE: RULES AND MORE RULES -ETHICS

COURSE OBJECTIVE:
This 1.5-hour session will discuss a variety of topics regarding the ethical rules/regulations that court reporters are required to follow in their jobs as either freelancers or officials.

How firms should ask questions of new reporters to determine that skill level

Turning the tables – helping digitals see the advantage of going to reporting school

New laws/rules discussed in legislative sessions regarding reporters

Why rules, such as NCRA ethics, are so important
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Reporters will learn the ethics/rules regarding our profession and how important it is to follow the rules to keep your licensure intact in those states with licensure and what is necessary for a state with no licensure in order to stay compliant. They will also learn where to find the rules and regulations for their state and through NCRA.
